Alan Moore NAPA

I first discovered the wonder of acrylic paint when I was a student in my teens. Its versatility and vibrancy was just perfect for capturing the world in my emerging abstract style. 

I have continued to develop my approach to painting and now enjoy delving into complex narratives using my distinct linear and geometric language, and as a colourist, acrylic paint is still my preferred medium.

I am a member of the Isle of Wight Creative Network and regularly exhibit around the UK.  More recently I have exhibited at the 2024 Annual Open Exhibition of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts, the 'Artivist' Exhibition at Gallery Grounds in Southampton, and featured regularly in exhibitions at the Fox Yard Studios in Stowmarket, and at Monkton Arts in Ryde. In 2025 I was short-listed for the Monkton Arts Prize and short-listed in the CCA Galleries Emerging Artist Awards in 2026.
